Teams at the Château de Versailles (conservators, architects, gardeners, fountain keepers) invite you to discover the masterpiece of Louis XIV and his gardener, Le Nôtre, on your iPhone or Android mobile phone. Application available in French and English.


This application has been designed to be used remotely or while you are in the gardens.

The story of this venue of art and history, of celebrations and pleasure, is presented to you on videos. The Château de Versailles teams reveal detail of a specific décor, a meaningful perspective or hidden parts of the château...
You can also walk through the gardens with a aerial view zoom in based on Inter Atlas' aerial photos distributed by Spot Image, and listen to commentary on the fountains, statues and gardens positioned on the screen.

Interactive tour of the gardens

Thanks to geo-positioning, you can find your way around the gardens and get interactive information.
For example, as you near the Colonnade fountains, your mobile phone starts to vibrate and a film shows you the underground hydraulic network, guided by the Versailles fountain keeper.
