A transmedia project

The Palace of Versailles and TV5MONDE explore the field of transmedia with a new web-documentary: "Versailles, the other visit".
Over 70 videos, archives, an original soundtrack design, and exclusive interviews with curators help to immerse the visitor in the world of the Palace.

Objects that speaks

The staff of the Maître d’hôtel, the Passemant clock, the urinal of Louis XV, the bed of general de Gaulle, among other things, revealed and analysed by the curators and specialists of the Palace to deliver up their secrets that go beyond their particular styles and periods and make their historical, artistic and social meaning accessible to all.

Twelve known or unknown objects, often surprising, invite the netsurfer to discover Versailles in a new and original way.

Would you have imagined, for example, that the fountain engineers of Versailles still activate the water supply to the fountains of the garden with the same key as their predecessors in the 17th century? Or that the Grand Trianon still has the work armchair of Napoleon I in the private apartments of the Emperor?

Find out everything about the objects on www.tv5monde.com/versailles.
