Each year, from the beginning of autumn until the following summer, Château de Versailles Spectacles and the Centre de Musique Baroque de Versailles propose a large programme of operas, concerts and ballets in exceptional settings of the palace of Versailles.
For the 2011-2012 season, three outstanding attractions are Armide, Lully’s masterpiece and last opera, performed in the Royal Opera, the Passion according to Saint Matthew by Johann Sebastian Bach, sung in the Royal Chapel during Holy Week, and a concert on the theme of the "Music of the Chambre du Roi" performed in the hall of Mirrors.
