Services adapted to your needs let you fully enjoy the Estate of Versailles.
Caution, you must pay for admission to the gardens on Fountain Shows and Musical Gardens days. For further information.

Depending on the work projects undertaken, accessibility at the Palace of Versailles may be modified in the coming months.

Wheelchair loans

Wheelchair loans

Non-motorised wheelchairs are available free of charge to visit the inside rooms of the Palace only, subject to availability and the temporary deposit of an official identity document.
The wheelchairs cannot be used outdoors.

Free audioguides

Free audioguides

The audioguide accompanies visitors through the individual visit itineraries at the Palace (the King and Queen’s Grand Apartments, the King’s Chamber, the History Gallery and the Apartments of Mesdames). A children’s audioguide in French is available for youngsters aged 8 and older.

Practical information

Videoguides in French Sign Language and subtitled in French are available against the deposit of an identity document for the Palace visit.

Audioguides compatible with audio induction loops and “behind-the-ear” hearing aids are available for hearing-impaired visitors.
People equipped with analogue hearing aids with a T-coil position can request audiophones equipped with induction or magnetic loops for guided tours.

- Lower Gallery (before the Apartments of Mesdames): Tuesdays and week-ends from 10 am to 2 pm.

AT THE PALACE:
- Le Grand Café d’Orléans
This 700 m² restaurant has a contemporary design. It is laid out in a series of several dining rooms.

- Angelina
The Angelina tearoom has become famous as the place to go for Parisian gourmet pleasures. Its 600 m² combine elegance, charm and refinement.

IN THE GARDENS AND PARK:
- La Flottille
This restaurant with its turn-of-the century decor offers traditional French cuisine. It has two large inside dining rooms and a terrace facing the Grand Canal.

- La Petite Venise
Located between the Apollo Fountain and the Grand Canal, this restaurant offers refined Italian cuisine. It has a shaded terrace.

- Brasserie de la Girandole
A takeaway outlet and sit-down service on the terrace in the Girandole Grove in the heart of the gardens.

Picnic

Picnic

A relaxation and picnic area is available (accessible without tickets except on Foutains Show days. To check-out the dates, click here). Access to this covered tent is before the entrance to the gardens, alongside the Palace. Outside this area, picnics are only allowed in the Park and at the Swiss Pool (outside the Estate, across from the Orangerie).

- Electric vehicles
A complete tour of the Estate at your own pace: explore the gardens, the Trianon Palaces and the Queen’s Hamlet, take a tour of the Grand Canal, etc.
Six vehicles are equipped for people in wheelchairs.

Price: €32 an hour, accessible to people with reduced mobility, a driving license must be presented
Reduced rates for disabled people (upon presentation of proof of eligibility).

- On-line shop
The Palace of Versailles’ on-line shop offers a wide variety of products (decoration, arts of the table, cuisine, games and creative leisure activities, fashion and accessories, books, gourmet foods, etc.) related to the history of the Palace.

- Librairie des Princes
Located in the South Ministers Wing (accessible without tickets), the Librairie des Princes offers theme books (history, gardens, fine arts, youth, etc.), derived products and games.
Opening times: 1 Apr. – 31 Oct.: 9.30 am – 7 pm / 1 Nov. - 31 Mar.: 9.30 am – 5.30 pm, closed on Mondays.

- Boutique des Jardins
This shop is accessible through the Gardens or the Park (next to the La Petite Venise restaurant) and presents several collections of derived products, souvenirs and gifts designed on topics such as the gardens and Marie-Antoinette.

- RMN sales outlets
At the end of the tour of the Grand Apartments, two shops sell derived products, pictures (posters, stationery, etc.), jewellery, arts of the table, souvenirs, audio-visuals (CD / DVD) and books.

Several free toilets are available in the Palace. They are all accessible to people with reduced mobility unless otherwise indicated. Toilets designed for disabled people are also available free of charge in the South Ministers Wing, North Ministers Wing, next to the Dauphin Grove and the Girandole Grove, at La Petite Venise, at the Petit Trianon and at the Grand Trianon.
