The following items are not allowed inside the Palace: strollers, baby carriers with metal frames, suitcases, briefcases, rucksacks, grocery bags and other baggage, children's cars, scooters, helmets, umbrellas and camera booms. They must be left at the cloakroom.
If you visit the Palace with an infant under one year old, you should bring a kangoroo baby carrier or any other baby carrier without a metal frame.



Take-away food outlets and restaurants can be found around the Estate for a bite to eat.


-   Le Grand Café d’Orléans
This 700 m² restaurant has a contemporary design. It is laid out in a series of several dining rooms.
Aslo available: a tearoom and a sandwich shop.

-   Angelina
The Angelina tearoom has become famour as the place to go for Parisian gourmet pleasures. Its 600 m² combines elegance, charm and refinement.

-   La Flottille
This restaurant with its turn-of-the century decor offers traditional French cuisine. It has two large inside dining rooms and a terrace facing the Grand Canal.

-  La Petite Venise
Located between the Apollo Foutain and the Grand Canal, this restaurant offers refined Italian cuisine. It has a shaded terrace.
Also available: a tearoom and a takeaway food outlet.

-   Brasserie la Girandole
A takeaway food outlet and a sit-down restaurant on the terrace located in the heart of the gardens in the Girandole.
Open during the high season only.

A relaxation and picnic area is available (not heated - seating subject to availability). Access to this covered tent is before the entrance to the gardens, alongside the Palace (accessible without tickets except on Foutains Show days. To check-out the dates, click here).
Outside this area, picnics are only allowed in the Park and at the Swiss Pool (outside the Estate, across from the Orangerie).



Two forms of transportation are available to visit the gardens and the Park.

-   The Mini-Train
The farthest sites on the Estate are accessible without worrying about inckement weather or fatigue, in a baroque musical atmosphere. 
Itineraries  :
-   Complete itineraries: Palace North Terrace - Petit Trianon - Grand Trianon - Head of the Grand Canal (next to La Petite Venise) - Palace North Terrace
-   Return to the Palace (from the head of the Grand Canal or the Trianon Palaces)
Optionally, an audioguide is available giving historical comments (in French, English, German, Chinese, Spanish, Italian, Japanese and Russian).

A complete tour of the Estate at your own pace: explore the gardens, the Trianon Palaces and the Queen's Hamlet, take a tour of the Grand Canal, etc.
Leaving from the South Parterre.

The Palace of Versailles' on-line shop offers a wide variety of products (decoration, arts of the table, cuisine, games and creative leisure activities, fashion and accessories, books, gourmet food, etc.) related to the history of the Palace.

-   Librairie des princes
Located in the South Ministers Wing (accessible without tickets), the Librairie des Princes offers theme books (history, gardens, fine arts, youth, etc.), derived products and games. 
Opening times : 1 Apr. - 31 Oct. : 9:30 am to 7pm/ 1 Nov. - 31 Mar. : 9:30 am to 5:30pm, closed on Mondays.

-   Boutique des Jardins
The shop is accessible through the Gardens or the Park (next to the La Petite Venise restaurant) and presents several collections of derived products, souvenirs and gifts designed on topics such as the gardens or Marie-Antoinette.

- RMN Sales Outlet
At the end of the tour of the Grand Apartments, two shops sell derived products, pictures (posters, stationery, etc.), jewellery, arts of the table, souvenirs, audio-visuals (CD/DVD) and books.



Toilets with changing tables are accessible without tickets starting at the entrance. They are located in the South Ministers Wing, on the left in the Cour d'Honneur. Toilets fitted for disabled visitors and with changing tables are also available free of charge in the Palace and the the Grand Trianon.
