Accessibility is a priority for the public institution of the Château de Versailles, which is pursuing its action in favour of people with disabilities and reduced mobility, including special tours for visitors with different types of handicaps and the creation of various facilities to improve their visiting conditions.

Free admission and priority access

Admission is free for disabled people and one accompanying person, except for guided tours and the Musical Fountains Show.

The palace is entered via entrance A. A ramp facilitates access for people with reduced mobility. It is located beside the small lodge on the right of entrance A or at entrance H.

The itineraries accessible to people with disabilities are the:

  • NEW - The Palace History Gallery provides a tactile aid for visually disabled visitors
  • Grand Apartments of the King and the Queen (including the Hall of Mirrors, the Bull’s-Eye Salon, the King’s Bedchamber and the Council Room)
  • Apartments of the Dauphin, the crown prince
  • Apartments of the royal princesses, Louis XV’s daughters

Gardens: four walks for people with reduced mobility

Gardens: four walks for people with reduced mobility

The gardens are open every day.

From November to March, the gardens are free every day.
From April to October, a ticket is required on the days of the Musical Fountains Show and the Musical Gardens Show.
