into the "Petite Orangerie", an independent south-facing building with three monumental bays

The Grande Orangerie of Versailles extends eastward into the "Petite Orangerie"

The Petite Orangerie is connected to the south side of the Aile du Midi by a large staircase cut out in the 19th century, as part of the work conducted under Louis-Philippe to transform this wing into a Museum of French History, but now out of use.
The hall, which was for a long time used as a service room by the Gardening Service, is now empty. It has considerable potential because of its location (between the Château's Aile du Midi and the Grande Orangerie) and its size (20 m long, 6 m wide and 8 m high).
The restructuring of the Petite Orangerie would make it possible to get to the Grande Orangerie directly from the Château through the lower gallery.
Upon completion of the work, it may be used to exhibit the restored sculpted groups from the Bains d’Apollon.

Estimated cost: €1,000,000
