During the Night Fountains Show, the gardens of Louis XIV offer an astonishing visit with sound and visual effects as night falls. Pools and groves are orchestrated and sublimed, coming to life before the visitor's eyes with fountains and lights and culminating with a dazzling firework display.
Just before the Night Fountains Show visitors can attend the Royal Serenade staged by a dance company, a 50-minute show in the King's State Apartments.
From June to September on Saturdays.

On the occasion of the Musical Fountains Show, enjoy the extraordinary beauty of the Château de Versailles gardens, as you stroll with your family or friends through the groves and discover the fountains playing to the sound of the music that once brought them to life.
On summer Saturdays, after the Musical Fountains Show, discover the Grand Apartments of the Château de Versailles as you have never seen them before with the Royal Serenade.
From June to September, every Saturday.

Opening hours of the Gardens
Open every day
Low season (November to March) :
• 8am-6pm
• last admission: 5.30pm
High season (April to October) :
• 8am-8.30pm
• last admission: 7pm
Allow at least 1 hour and a half for your visit.
Access to the Gardens
Tabs
The gardens are open every day (except during exceptional weather: snow, violent winds, etc). Admission is free except during Musical Fountains Shows and Musical Gardens (included with the Passport).

The Gardens can only be accessed on foot, in the little train or in an electric vehicle hired on site.
Bikes, horses and all other forms are transport are forbidden in the Gardens.
You can access the Gardens from the Palace through the Princes’ Courtyard (next to the entrance A and the exit from the Palace).
There are two entrances to the Gardens from the Park:
- the Neptune Gate: at the northern end of the gardens next to the Neptune Fountain,
- the Little Venice Gate and the Menagerie gate: at the western end of the gardens next to the Grand Canal.

Show

The Musical Fountains Show and the Musical Gardens
From April 1 to October 31 2025, enjoy the Musical Gardens and the Musical Fountains Show in the gardens and groves opened for the occasion. Every Saturday evening from 7 June to 20 September, Monday 14 July and Friday 15 August, discover the Gardens in the evening with the The Night Fountains Show.

From 21 January to 25 May 2025, the Palace of Versailles is presenting an exhibition by the contemporary artist Guillaume Bresson, a leading light of French figurative painting.

Versailles: Science and Splendour
From 12 December 2024 to 21 April 2025, the Science Museum in London is hosting the exhibition Versailles: Science and Splendour, which has been developed with scientific support from the Palace of Versailles. Over one hundred exhibits, some forty of which are from the collections at Versailles, will be assembled to provide an insight into the major role played by science at the court of Versailles in the 17th and 18th centuries.
