The Palace of Versailles, the Grand and the Petit Trianon are closed and will reopen on Wednesday 19th of May. 
The park of Versailles is currently open to walking from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The last access to the Park is at 6.15 p.m.
Access to the Park is possible by the Queen's gate, the Saint Anthony gate and the Sailors gate

From May 22th to October 31th 2021, enjoy the Musical Fountains Shows and the Musical Gardens in the Gardens and the groves open for the occasion. Every Saturday night from 12th June to 18th September, and on Wednesday 14th July, discover the gardens of Versailles in the evening with the Night Fountains Shows.

  • We recommend that you buy your ticket in advance online to avoid queues at the ticket office and benefit from special rates.
  • If you buy your ticket on the spot at the entrance to the gardens, payment exclusively by credit card or holiday voucher (no cash or cheques).
  • On days of Musical Fountains Shows or Musical Gardens, the entrance to the Gardens is free only for children from 0 to 5 years old.
  • The Fountains Shows and Musical Gardens are open-air walking tours.

The musical fountains show

Set out to explore the fountains and groves with their water features spouting to the rhythm of baroque music. Several circuits are available to enable you to enjoy the numerous masterpieces of the Gardens or lead you to their most secret spots.

In case of high temperatures, the programming of the Fountains Show can be modified.

It gives access to the whole of the Estate: the Palace with timed entry, the Gardens (including the days of the days of the Fountains Shows or the Musical Gardens), the Trianon estate and the Park.

The full price: €27 applies on the days of Fountains Shows or Musical Gardens (€20 on other days).

The reduced rate: €10

The reduced rate of the Passport with timed entry allows the beneficiaries of the free admission to the Palace and the Trianon Estate to access the Fountains Shows or the Musical Gardens and to benefit from a direct access to the Palace (according to the reserved time).

Free admission is granted to children between 0 and 5 years old and to holders of the Château de Versailles Spectacles card, the 1 year in Versailles card holders and the Friends of the Palace of Versailles card holders.

Water displays of the Musical Fountains Show

  • The fountains are flooded all day long:

- The Neptune Fountain: from 10am to 5pm then from 5.45pm to 6.45pm*, 5 minutes every 15 minutes

- The Mirror pool: from 10am to 7pm*, 7 minutes every 10 minutes

- The Water Theatre grove: continuously from 10 am to 7 pm*.

  • Launching in the morning:

- The Great Perspective (the Latona's Fountain and the Apollo's Fountain): from 10.30 am to 10.45 am and from 11 am to 12 pm

- The groves and the basins of the Garden: groves of the Ballroom, the Colonnade, the Girandole as well as the basins of Bacchus and Saturn from 10.30 am to 11.30 am

  • Lauching in the afternoon:

- The Great Perspective (the Latona's Fountain and the Apollo's Fountain): 20 minutes at 2pm, 3pm and 4pm and 10 minutes at 5pm

- All the groves and the basins of the Garden: 30 minutes at 2.30 pm, 3.30 pm and 4.30 pm

- Launching of the Neptune Fountain with a final of historical jets at 5.20 pm

The Musical gardens

Enjoy a musical walk during summer: a moment of discovery, in the heart of the French gardens, to discover the groves which are exceptionally open to the public (no water displays of fountains).

      When night falls, the Gardens are transformed to offer a stunning visual and musical treat as fountains and groves come alive with colourful and dramatic lighting effects. This year once more, lighting and stage-effects artists will light up the gardens and display their surprising installations to the strollers: water features in the Mirror Fountain, lasers streaking across the dark in the Colonnade Grove and the fireworks display in front of the Grand Canal by the Groupe F to conclude the evening’s entertainment.

      The royal Serenade

      After the Musical Fountains Shows or before the Night Fountains Shows, the musicians and dancers of the company "L'Éventail" and the "Les Folies Françoises" await you to attend a French-style ball under the gold of the Hall of Mirrors.

      5 sessions (of 40 minutes each) are offered each evening at 6.30 pm, 6.50 pm, 7.10 pm, 7.30 pm and 7.50 pm.

      Opening times and acces to the Gardens

      The Gardens are open every day and all year from 8.00am.
      They close at 6pm in low season (1st November to 31st March).
      They close at 8.30pm in high season (1st April to 31st October) with exceptional closing times to prepare the Night Fountains Shows and special other dates:

      • Exceptional closing and evacuation of the gardens at 5.30 p.m. on Saturdays during the Night Fountains shows from 12th June to 18th September, as well as on Sunday 15th August ("Nocturnes de Feu") and 25th September ("Nocturnes-Electro"), on Wednesday 14th July, and on 31th October 2021 

      Access to the gardens via the Princes’ Court (access via the Court of Honour of Palace of Versailles / Tickets on site), the Neptune Gate (access via the Queen’s Gate, Boulevard de la Reine / Tickets on site at weekends only) or the Little Venice Gate (access via the Grand Parc / Tickets on site).

      The Dragon Gate is closed.
