21, 23, 24, 26 March 2017 - Royal Opera Mozart: Don Giovanni

In spring 2017, Don Giovanni will be on the stage of the Royal Opera, under the direction of Marc Minkowski!

Marc Minkowski and Ivan Alexandre have undertaken to stage the Mozart Da Ponte Trilogy in the two most famous Court theatres: the Drottningholm Royal Palace Theatre in Sweden and the Royal Opera in Versailles, both built in Mozart’s time.

Last season, their Nozze di Figaro was highly acclaimed: they now present Mozart’s most famous work, Don Giovanni, with a wonderful cast of singers, who are following the trilogy. With the direct approach of 18th century theatres on trestles, this performance takes the protagonists of Mozart’s Drama Giocoso on a whirlwind champagne evening that ends in hell.
