Court clergy in Europe (end of the 15th Century to the 18th Century)

24, 25 and 26 January 2013

The conference, subtitled "Religious service and political service in curial systems", proposes a reflection on the notion of the court clergy in Europe under the Ancien régime. This notion broadly refers to all of the members of the clergy who entered the curia regis to take on or accomplish a responsibility or mission, most often validated by an office, commission or dignity and acting either within the framework of the Chapel, or that of the Council and its administrative extensions.
