The Palace of Versailles, in partnership with Ubisoft and the French National Centre for Cinema and the Moving Image (CNC), announces the creation of a brand-new map, A Night in the Château de Versailles, launched as part of the Just Dance 2024 Edition – the latest instalment of the popular music video game, which will give players an 18th century-inspired experience with a modern pop twist.

In A Night in the Château de Versailles, players are transported right to the heart of Versailles and its magnificent gardens, where they can marvel at the likes of the Latona Fountain and the majestic Hall of Mirrors, all while dancing their socks off to baroque beats with a contemporary pop arrangement, inspired by Jean-Baptiste Lully’s “La Marche pour la Cérémonie Turque” (“March for the Turkish Ceremony”) and Jean-Philippe Rameau’s “Les Sauvages” (“The Wild Ones”).
All aspects of A Night in the Château de Versailles – the music, dancing, costumes and locations – combine historical authenticity with the upbeat pop element that fans of the Just Dance franchise know and love. The result is an unforgettable party experience. The choreography – which was designed and developed by Ubisoft in partnership with the CNC and the Palace of Versailles, drawing on the expertise of the Palace’s shows and performances subsidiary, Château de Versailles Spectacles – merges modern dance moves with classic Court dances from the time of King Louis XIV’s reign.

A unique partnership
The partnership between the CNC, the Palace of Versailles and Ubisoft is part of the Cultural Olympiad programme. This has been established by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) as part of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games with the aim of sparking conversations through sport and culture in all French territories that wish to be part of the adventure.
The Palace of Versailles is a host venue for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games and will stage equestrian events and the modern pentathlon. In addition, it will offer a packed cultural programme linked to the Olympic Games.
