Summer at Versailles
The Palace of Versailles will be welcoming its visitors again from 19 May and sharing their stories from the last 70 years for the occasion!
TEMPORARY EXHIBITIONS
Drawings for Versailles, 20 Years of Acquisitions
From 1st June, the Palace of Versailles is presenting an exhibition dedicated to the drawings acquired for its Graphic Arts Department between 2000 and 2020. On display in Madame de Maintenon’s Apartments, the exhibition will display some 100 works in pastel, gouache and watercolour presenting portraits and scenes of life at court.
The Lalannes at Trianon
From 19 June, the Palace of Versailles will have the honour of hosting “The Lalanne at Trianon” in partnership with Galerie Mitterrand. This exceptional exhibition will present works by sculptors Claude and François-Xavier Lalanne along a visit route that leads from the gardens of the Petit Trianon to the Queen's Hamlet.

THE FOUNTAINS SHOW
Discover the full summer programme and enjoy the Musical Fountains Show, Musical Gardens and groves open specially for the occasion.
Every weekend from 22 May to 30 June and then every day (except Mondays) in July and August.
Discover the magic of the Fountains Night Show on Saturday evenings from 12 June.
Before or after the Grandes Eaux Nocturnes you can attend the Royal Serenade in the Hall of Mirrors. Every Saturday from June 12 to September 18, as well as on Wednesday, July 14 and Sunday, August 15, follow dancers, actors and musicians on a journey from the Royal Chapel to the Grand Apartments via the Hall of Mirrors.

Museums Night 2021
On Saturday, July 3, the 17th edition of the European Museums Night 2021 will take place. The Palace of Versailles invites you to a nocturnal discovery of two remarkable spaces: the Sculpture and Moulding Gallery and the Coach Gallery.

SPECIAL OPENINGS
The South and Chimay Attics
Recently refurbished, the Chimay and South Attics were once used by Louis Philippe for the museum dedicated to all the glories of France. Visitors can admire these spaces on a guided tour with a new route. The first attic houses part of the collections illustrating the Revolution, the Directory and the Consulate. The Chimay Attic presents works on Emperor Napoleon, his great military campaigns, his entourage and society under the Empire.
The Sculptures and Mouldings Gallery
Beneath the vaults of the King’s Small Stables, copies of ancient Greek and Roman statues rub shoulders with originals from the gardens of the Palace of Versailles.
The opening of this space allow visitors to admire, among others, the Sun’s Horses and Apollo Served by Nymphs which are undeniably among the greatest masterpieces of French sculpture.
Discover the works in the Sculptures and Mouldings Gallery in the Small Stables, open for unaccompanied visits with free admission on Saturday and Sunday afternoons.

The Shows

the equestrian academy
Since the reopening of the Equestrian Academy of Versailles, the show entitled La Voie de l'écuyer (The Way of the Squire) has been performed again. The show sees the new class of equestrians evolve on new choreographies. After each performance you can visit the stables freely.
As part of the Paris l'été Festival, she will also perform Silent Interviews from July 14 to 28 at the Manège de la Grande Ecurie at 11am.
