A wave of refined gourmet cuisine is sweeping through the Palace of Versailles with the opening of a new dining venue: La Cour des Saveurs. Nestled in the South Ministers' Wing, this boutique and restaurant concept was designed to offer much more than just a dining service. It is a journey of tasting and discovery that complements the experience of visiting the Palace and Estate.

La Cour des Saveurs showcases the richness of French culinary expertise through encounters with different food professionals and culinary experts renowned in their field.

Designed to complement a visit to the Versailles estate, the Cour des Saveurs invites visitors to take a gourmet break in this historic location and sample delicious French products before leaving with a souvenir of French excellence in the form of a carefully selected range of fine foods.

From counter to counter, visitors are treated to a gourmet interlude that combines conviviality and French elegance with:

Sweet: French-style coffee

This first highlight offers the best in bakery and pastry, as well as a premium selection of coffees, teas, and chocolates. Refined pastries and cakes delight visitors' taste buds at any time of day. Exclusive and seasonal recipes enrich the range of comforting classics.

Savory: a fresh take on baking traditions

At the Cour des Saveurs savory counter, the selection is based on classic French bakery items and a catering menu, featuring gourmet savory croissants, quiches Lorraine, croque-monsieur sandwiches, and a few seasonal prepared dishes. 

The Guest: exclusive discoveries

Designed as an exclusive tasting area, each season it offers unique culinary experiences to surprise visitors. From the moment it opens, Oysters, Caviar & Champagne delight visitors during the festive season, while an ice cream counter is set up for the summer season. Many other surprises will punctuate this space throughout the year, in line with the Château's events.

The Gift: fine foods and gourmet gifts

A genuine grocery store that invites you to discover the finest French delicacies. A display area is dedicated to macarons, offering visitors the opportunity to create their own personalized box. During the holiday season, an assortment of chocolates is added so you can create the perfect gift box or treat yourself.

Services: the new generation concierge service

Beyond culinary delights, La Cour des Saveurs offers a range of services designed to simplify your visit to the Palace of Versailles. On the garden level, adjacent to the ticket office, a concierge desk welcomes visitors and offers:

  • Luggage storage and cloakrooms

  • Equipment rental for families or people with reduced mobility

  • Essential items for sale

1725. Native American allies at the court of Louis XV

The Palace of Versailles and the Musée du Quai Branly - Jacques Chirac are presenting a new exhibition devoted to the visit by Native American allies to the court of Versailles. In 1725, four Native American chiefs and a Native American woman from the Mississippi valley were received in France on a diplomatic mission and met Louis XV. The exhibition retraces this memorable encounter and explores the links between France and the Indigenous nations of North America in the 18th century.
