Visitors who are hard of hearing
Getting in
The counters in Reception are accessible and fitted with induction loops.
Staff will be on hand to provide assistance.
Don’t hesitate to ask for a visitor map. All videos screened are subtitled.
The Palace is very popular with visitors during the school holidays, so do feel free to come after 3:30 pm and consult the programme to get an idea of visitor volumes.
Toilet facilities are fitted with a flashing beacon in case an external alarm is sounded.
Getting around
Audio guides are fitted with induction loops and a volume-control device. Among other things, they include an audio description of the tactile frieze installed in the first room of the Gallery of the History of the Palace.
Visual guides in French Sign Language (FSL) are available for tours of the King’s State Apartments and the Hall of Mirrors.

From the Hall of Mirrors to the Empire Rooms, the Stables to the Grand Trianon, these unique tours will really help you get to know the works and take you on a fascinating foray into history.
Tickets for guided tours can be purchased on site at the South Ministers’ Wing. If you wish to follow a guide, the rate is €7 per person for the individual with a disability and their companion. You are advised to purchase tickets in advance on our website.
