subscription « 1 year in Versailles »

The personal data requested in the subscription forms are necessary in order to allow creation and management of your account and purchases and to send a welcome email. Where appropriate, this allows us to send email communication on the programme of events, news and general information for visiting the Palace of Versailles for “A Year in Versailles” members; segmentation and programming of automated campaigns; visit advice by sms; compilation of statistics on email and sms performance (opening and clicks), and email address verification and phone numbers. It may also be used to send the magazine-programm Les Carnets de Versailles by post. You may object to this mailing by sending an email to carnetsdeversailles@chateauversailles.fr.
This information is collected for the purposes of the Établissement Public du Château, du Musée et du Domaine National de Versailles, which is responsible for processing it. It is provided either on a contractual basis or on the basis of your consent to communication. It may be communicated, for these same reasons, to authorised persons from the Établissement and our service providers. It is stored for three years from the date of your registration in our Public Establishment database dedicated to the Patronage Newsletter.

It may also be used to send to the teachers brochures on the visit offer by post.

Online donation platform

Data collected as part of the use of the official online donation platform of the Palace of Versailles

The personal data you are requested to provide is necessary for processing and administrating your donation. Where appropriate, this information enables us to communicate with you by email to keep you updated regarding your donation and patronage activities at the Palace of Versailles.

If you tick the box “I wish to subscribe to the newsletter”, you will also receive communications regarding the programme of events, news and tour offerings at the Palace of Versailles, or information about the products offered by and commercial operations of the Palace of Versailles online boutique. In this respect, the personal data you are requested to provide enables us to segment and programme automated marketing campaigns; analyse email performance statistics (open and click rates); and verify email addresses.

Your data is sent to the Établissement public du château, du musée et du domaine national de Versailles, the data processor, on either a contractual basis, for the purpose of processing of your donation, or on the basis of your consent to receiving the communications described above. It may be transmitted, for these same purposes, to authorised persons within the Établissement public, as well as to our service providers. It will be retained for 3 years (10 years, in the case of accounting information) starting from the date of your donation.

Data collected for the updating of our patronage database

The personal data that you are asked to provide is required to manage the relationship between the Palace of Versailles and its patrons, and for prospecting purposes as well. When necessary, data is used to send the Palace of Versailles' patronage newsletter and invitations to events organized for its patrons (openings, exhibitions, restoration site-works visits, etc.). The data is intended for the Établissement public du château, du musée et du domaine national de Versailles, responsible for data processing, and depends on your consent. It may be communicated, for the same purposes, to the people entitled to know them within the Établissement public du château, du musée et du domaine national de Versailles. They are retained for a maximum of three (3) years from the date of your consent to be included in the Establishment's file.

Data collected in the framework of a general patronage campaign form

The personal data requested from you is required to ensure the administrative follow-up of your donation. The personal data collected allow us to e-mail communication material, inviting the patron to events and inaugurations, as well as they  permit us to release a newsletter dedicated to patrons and finally, to send the Carnets de Versailles of the Palace of Versailles by regular mail.

The personal data are based on your consent and they are only intended for the Établissement public du château, du musée et du domaine national de Versailles, which is responsible for processing. They are kept for a period of 3 years from the date of your donation and renewed for the same period from any new donation. You have the right to access, rectify, erase, oppose, and make use of the information that concerns you, as well as the right to limit the processing of your personal data. You also have the right to define general and specific instructions defining the way in which you intend to exercise the above-mentioned rights in the event of your death.
