The International piano festival Les Amateurs virtuoses was founded in 2008 and is organised by the Pianestival association. Its original aim was to enable exceptional amateur pianists to perform in concerts on the biggest stages in France and around the world. Over the years, the festival has established itself in France and around the world as the leading event for showcasing high-level amateur performance: all participants are finalists in international competitions and also work in professions unrelated to music (teachers, lawyers, doctors, consultants, etc.).
