This year, the Palace of Versailles has been running virtual remote tours, aimed at French- and English-speaking audiences who are unable to visit in person.

This year, the Palace has organised remote guided tours online. The aim of this new approach is to open up the Palace to French- and English-speaking visitors all over the world who, because of the public-health crisis, are unable to come to the Palace in person.
Transport yourself as part of a small group to the Palace and discover it as you’ve never seen it before in an immersive atmosphere. The tours are led by a guide, who will also be available to answer questions.

The sun rises over Versailles and it is time for King Louis XIV to get up. Follow the story of his morning ritual at the Palace – a perfect illustration of the rules of etiquette that governed life at Court. Learn all about the first and grand getting-up ceremonies. Wander among the lavishly decorated rooms of the King’s State Apartment, filled with objets d’art and paintings.
Explore the most prestigious rooms at the Palace of Versailles like you never have before: the King’s bedchamber, the Hall of Mirrors and the recently renovated Royal Chapel, resonating to the sound of organ music.
During this extraordinary tour, which lasts just under an hour, your guide will take you behind the scenes at the Palace, explain all about etiquette and answer your questions live.
