Open free of charge from Tuesday to Sunday, 12:30 to 5:30 pm, the Royal Tennis court of Versailles became the birthplace of French democracy, linked to an important episode of the Revolution.

Guillaume Bresson

From 21 January to 25 May 2025, the Palace of Versailles is presenting an exhibition by the contemporary artist Guillaume Bresson, a leading light of French figurative painting.

Opening of the Emperor's small apartments

Located in the Grand Trianon, the Emperor's little apartments are open during the Christmas vacations (except Mondays), from 12pm to 5:30pm.

Versailles: Science and Splendour

From 12 December 2024 to 21 April 2025, the Science Museum in London is hosting the exhibition Versailles: Science and Splendour, which has been developed with scientific support from the Palace of Versailles. Over one hundred exhibits, some forty of which are from the collections at Versailles, will be assembled to provide an insight into the major role played by science at the court of Versailles in the 17th and 18th centuries.

Versailles and China in 120 masterpieces

From 18 December 2024 to 4 May 2025 the Hong Kong Palace Museum is hosting the exhibition The Forbidden City and the Palace of Versailles, devoted to interactions between China and France in the 17th and 18th centuries. A selection of masterpieces, primarily from the collections of the Palace of Versailles and the Palace Museum, Beijing, tells the story of the special relationship which existed between these two countries during the Ancien Régime.
