From 2 April to 29 October 2019, enjoy the Musical Fountains Shows and the Musical Gardens in the Gardens and the groves open for the occasion. During summer, every Saturday night discover the Gardens of Versailles differently with the Night Fountains Shows.

The musical fountains show

Set out to explore the fountains and groves with their water features spouting to the rhythm of music. Several circuits are available to enable you to enjoy the numerous masterpieces of the Gardens or lead you to their most secret spots.

On Saturdays and Sundays from 6 april to 27 October 2019
On Tuesdays from 21 May to 25 June 2019
On some additional dates (Friday 19 April, Wednesday 8 May, Thursday 30 May, Thursday 15 August)

Warning: on days of Musical Fountains shows or Musical Gardens, the entrance to the Gardens is free only for children from 0 to 5 years old.

What is the Passport with timed entry?

If you benefit from free admission for the Palace and the Trianon Estate, the reduced rate of the Passport with timed entry allows access to the Musical Fountains Shows or the Musical Gardens, and a priority access to the Palace (according to the schedule).

Groves open from 9 am to 7 pm
Musical displays from 10 am to 7 pm

Every Saturdays from 15th June to 21st September and Sunday 27 October : closing at 5.30 pm

    Water displays

    Weekends and public holidays :

    • Water display from 11 am to 12 pm, and from 3.30 pm to 5 pm
    • Mirror Pool: water display every 10 minutes from 10 am to 7 pm
    • Water Theater Grove: water display every 15 minutes from 10 am to 7 pm
    • Neptune Fountain: water display every 15 minutes from 10 am to 5 pm, and then from 5.45 pm to 7 pm
    • The finale of the show at the Neptune Fountain takes place from 5.20 pm to 5.30 pm

    Tuesdays and Friday April 19th 2019 :

    • Water display from 11 am to 12 pm, and then from 2.30 pm to 4 pm
    • Mirror Pool: water display every 10 minutes from 10 am to 7 pm
    • Water Theater Grove: water display every 15 minutes from 10 am to 7 pm
    • Neptune Fountain: water display every 15 minutes from 10 am to 7 pm

     

    The Musical gardens

    Enjoy a musical walk during summer: a moment of discovery, in the heart of the French gardens, to discover the groves which are exceptionally open to the public (no water displays of fountains).

    On Tuesdays from 2 April to 14 May and from 2 July to 29 October 2019
    On Fridays from 5 April to 25 October 2019 (except 19 April for the musical fountains show)

    the night fountains show

    When night falls, the Gardens are transformed to offer a stunning visual and musical treat as fountains and groves come alive with colourful and dramatic lighting effects. This year once more, lighting and stage-effects artists will light up the gardens and display their surprising installations to the strollers: water features in the Mirror Fountain, lasers streaking across the dark in the Colonnade Grove and the fireworks display in front of the Grand Canal by the Groupe F to conclude the evening’s entertainment.

    Every Saturday from 15 June to 21 September 2019
    From 8.30pm to 10.40pm and fireworks from 10.50pm to 11.05pm (water displays from 8.30pm to 10.45pm)

    The royal Serenade

    After the Musical Fountains Shows or before the Night Fountains Shows, the musicians and dancers of the Compagnie Baroque await you to join in a French-style ball in the sumptuous setting of the Hall of Mirrors.

    Opening times of the Gardens

    The Gardens are open every day and all year from 8.00am.
    They close at 6pm in low season (1 November to 31 March).
    They close at 8.30pm in high season (1 April to 31 October) with exceptional closing times to prepare the Fountains Night Shows and special other dates:

    • Exceptional closing times at 5.30pm Saturdays from 6th April to 26th October, Fridays 5thand 12th July, Sunday 27th and Tuesday 29th October 2019.
