In accordance with government directives, the Palace of Versailles, the Grand and the Petit Trianon are closed. 
Visitors who have purchased a ticket for this time will be reimbursed. 

From November 2nd, in accordance with measures set out by the French Ministry of Culture for the opening of heritage parks, the park of Versailles, the lake of the Swiss Guard and the Estate of Marly will be open to walking from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Cars are not allowed. 
Only pedestrians and cyclists will be admitted in the Park provided their compliance with government circulation rules. Access to the Park will be possible only by the Queen's gate and the Saint Anthony gate
Conditions to access the estate of Versailles

From June 6th to November 1st 2020, enjoy the Musical Fountains Shows and the Musical Gardens in the Gardens and the groves open for the occasion. During summer, every Saturday night discover the Gardens of Versailles differently with the Night Fountains Shows. 

  • The wearing of a face mask in the gardens of the Palace of Versailles is recommended.
  • Hand sanitiser is available at each entrance. On site, we kindly ask you to respect the health security measures and the distancing rules.
  • We recommend that you buy your ticket in advance online to avoid queues at the ticket office and benefit from special rates.
  • If you buy your ticket on the spot at the entrance to the gardens, payment exclusively by credit card or holiday voucher (no cash or cheques).
  • On days of Musical Fountains Shows or Musical Gardens, the entrance to the Gardens is free only for children from 0 to 5 years old.

The musical fountains show

Set out to explore the fountains and groves with their water features spouting to the rhythm of music. Several circuits are available to enable you to enjoy the numerous masterpieces of the Gardens or lead you to their most secret spots.

Every Saturdays and Sundays from June 6th to November 1st 2020

  •  The Passport with timed entry: €27
    This ticket grant admission to the whole Estate: the Palace, the Gardens, the Trianon Estate, the Park and the Coach Gallery.
     
  • The reduced rate: €10
    If you benefit from free admission for the Palace and the Trianon Estate, the reduced rate of the Passport with timed entry allows access to the Musical Fountains Shows or the Musical Gardens, and a priority access to the Palace (according to the schedule).
     
  • Free for children 0-5 years old, Château de Versailles Spectacles loyalty card holders, 1 year in Versailles card holders, and Friends of the Palace of Versailles card holders.
  • /! \ The ticket is valid for one entry (entry through the gates of the Cour des Princes, Little Venice, the Menagerie or the Neptune Gate). However, a second entry is possible if it is made through a gate other than the one taken during the first entry.

  • Groves open from 9 am to 7 pm
  • Musical displays from 10 am to 7 pm

Closing and evacuation of the gardens at 5.30 p.m. on Saturdays of Night Fountains Shows from June 13 to September 19 as well as Saturday May 23, Sunday October 25, Saturday October 31 and Sunday November 1, 2020.

Water displays

Due to high temperatures, the water display of the fountains is changed

  • The water jets are lowered all day long
  • The water display of the fountains is now rotating

All day long:

  • Water display of the Mirror Pool every 10 minutes
  • Water display of the Neptune Foutain every 15 minutes
  • Water display of the Water Theater Grove continuously

In the morning: water display of the southern groves

• From 11.00 am to 12.00 am: water display of the Great Perspective

• From 11.15 am to 11.45 am: water display of the Ballroom, Bacchus and Saturn’s fountains, the Colonnade and Girandole Groves’ fountains

Afternoon: water display northern groves

• From 3.30 pm to 4.30 pm: water display of the Three Fountains Grove, the Pyramid foutain, the Mermaid, Water Alley and Golden children’s fountains as well as Ceres and Flora fountains, and the Girandole groves

• At 4.00 pm: water display of the Great Perspective and the Dauphin’s Grove

• From 3.30 pm to 5.00 pm: water display of the Enceladus and Appolon’s baths grove

• At 5:20 pm: final at Neptune Fountain (water display on the last minutes of the music)

        When night falls, the Gardens are transformed to offer a stunning visual and musical treat as fountains and groves come alive with colourful and dramatic lighting effects. This year once more, lighting and stage-effects artists will light up the gardens and display their surprising installations to the strollers: water features in the Mirror Fountain, lasers streaking across the dark in the Colonnade Grove and the fireworks display in front of the Grand Canal by the Groupe F to conclude the evening’s entertainment.

        Every Saturday from June 27th to September 19th 2020
        From 8.30pm to 10.40pm and fireworks from 10.50pm to 11.05pm (water displays from 8.30pm to 10.45pm)

        The royal Serenade

        After the Musical Fountains Shows or before the Night Fountains Shows, the musicians and dancers of the Compagnie Baroque await you to join in a French-style ball in the sumptuous setting of the Hall of Mirrors.

        Opening times and acces to the Gardens

        The Gardens are open every day and all year from 8.00am.
        They close at 6pm in low season (1st November to 31st March).
        They close at 8.30pm in high season (1st April to 31st October) with exceptional closing times to prepare the Fountains Night Shows and special other dates:

        • Exceptional closing times at 5.30pm on Saturdays with Night fountain shows (from June 13th  to September 19th), Sunday 25th October, Tuesday 27th October, Friday 30th October, Saturday 31st and Sunday 1st November 2020.

        Access to the gardens via the Princes’ Court (access via the Court of Honour of Château de Versailles / Tickets on site), the Neptune Gate (access via the Queen’s Gate, Boulevard de la Reine / Tickets on site at weekends only) or the Little Venice Gate (access via the Grand Parc / Tickets on site).

        The Dragon Gate is closed.
