The Fountains Shows and the Musical Gardens are over for 2018. Rendezvous in 2019 for the new season. The detailed program will be announced during the first 2019 quarter.

From 27 March to 30 October 2018, enjoy the Musical Fountains Shows and the Musical Gardens in the Gardens and the groves open for the occasion. During summer, every Saturday night discover the Gardens of Versailles differently with the Fountains Night shows. 

Fountains show offer in one look

The musical fountains show

Set out to explore the fountains and groves with their water features spouting to the rhythm of music. Several circuits are available to enable you to enjoy the numerous masterpieces of the Gardens or lead you to their most secret spots.

On Saturdays and Sundays from 31 March to 28 October 2018
On Tuesdays from 22 May to 26 June 2018
On some additional dates (Friday 30 March, Tuesday 8 May, Thursday 10 May, Wednesday 15 August)

WARNING: The entrance to the Gardens is included with the Passport (1 or 2 days) and free for children from 0 to 5 years old.

If you benefit a free admission to the Palace and the Trianon Estate, the reduced rate of the Passport with timed entry (10 euros) allows people aged 6 to 17 years old outside the European Union and people aged 6 to 25 who are residents of the European Union (upon presentation of the exemption of entrance fees during access control) to benefit from priority access to the Palace (according to the schedule). It also includes access to the Fountains Shows or the Musical Gardens.

To only access the Gardens, you also have the possibility to buy tickets for the Fountains Shows  and the Musical Gardens, online or on site, at the entrance of the Gardens: from the Palace by the Princes’ Courtyard or from the Park by the Queen Gate.

Timetable of the Musical Fountains shows
  • Groves open from 9am to 7pm.
    Groves close at 5.30pm on 28 July, on 4, 11, 18, 25 August, 1, 8, 15 September and 28 October. 
  • Musical displays from 10am to 7pm.
    Musical displays end at 5.30pm on 28 July,4, 11, 18, 25 August, 1, 8, 15 September and 28 October.
  • Water displays

On weekends and public holidays: from 11am to 12am, and from 3.30pm to 5pm.

Mirror Fountain: water display every 10 minutes from 10am to 7pm.

Water Theater Grove: water display every 15 minutes from 10am to 7pm.

Neptune Fountain: water display every 15 minutes from 10am to 5pm. The finale of the show takes place from 5.20pm to 5.30pm. 

On Tuesdays: from 11am to 12am, and from 2.30pm to 4pm.

Mirror Fountain: water display every 10 minutes from 10am to 7pm.

Water Theater Grove: water display every 15 minutes from 10am to 7pm.

Neptune Fountain: water display every 15 minutes from 10am to 6.45pm.

 

The Musical gardens

Enjoy a musical walk during summer: a moment of discovery, in the heart of the French gardens, to discover the groves which are exceptionally open to the public (no water displays of fountains).

On Tuesdays from 27 March to 15 May (except Tuesday 1 May and Tuesday 8 May) and from 3 July to 30 October 2018
On Fridays from 6 April to 26 October 2018

the fountains Night show

When night falls, the Gardens are transformed to offer a stunning visual and musical treat as fountains and groves come alive with colourful and dramatic lighting effects. This year once more, lighting and stage-effects artists will light up the gardens and display their surprising installations to the strollers: water features in the Mirror Fountain, lasers streaking across the dark in the Colonnade Grove and the fireworks display in front of the Grand Canal by the Groupe F to conclude the evening’s entertainment.

The royal Serenade

After the Musical Fountains Shows or before the Fountains Night Shows, the musicians and dancers of the Compagnie Baroque await you to join in a French-style ball in the sumptuous setting of the Hall of Mirrors.

Opening times of the Gardens

The Gardens are open every day and all year from 8.00am.
They close at 6pm in low season (1 November to 31 March).
They close at 8.30pm in high season (1 April to 31 October) with exceptional closing times to prepare the Fountains Night shows and special other dates:

  • For the Musical Fountains Shows, the Gardens close and are evacuated at 5.30pm on 16, 23 and 30 June, on 7, 14, 21 and 28 July, on 1, 4, 11, 15, 18 and 25 August, on 1, 8, 15 september and 28 October, at 6.30pm on 8 July 2018.
  • For the Musical Gardens, the Gardens close and are evacuated at 6pm on 30 October and at 5.30pm on 29 June and 6 July 2018.
