Guillaume Bresson is the contemporary guest artist at Versailles from January 21 to May 25, 2025. A leading light of French figurative painting, his hyperrealist paintings depict characters involved in street fights that reference religious and history painting. The artist's works is exhibited in the Africa Rooms, dedicated the colonial conquests of Louis-Philippe, and therefore engage in dialogue with the great battle scenes, painted in particular by Horace Vernet.
